Using the Preferences dialog, you can customize CreaText's behaviour. The Preferences dialog is organized with a so called 'tab panel'. Select the tab labeled with the topic you wish to access.<BR>
Note: If you open the Preferences dialog and you cannot select any tab, just close the dialog and try again. This is a problem caused by the programming tool I use (REALbasic). You could fix it by giving CreaText lots of RAM, but I think it is exaggerated to give such a simple app 20 MB or more.<BR>
By the way: If you want to use CreaText's default settings, just push the cool button on the bottom-left, labeled 'Reset to defaults'.

If you check the option 'When opening files', CreaText colors all Tags when you open an existing file. If you have a very old computer (like me) and you are working with large documents with many Tags in it, better disable this option because CreaText's Tag coloring is very slow.<BR>
If you check the option 'Real-time', CreaText colors all Tags when you enter a Tag in any line and when you paste some text from the clipboard. Unfortunatly, it's no true real-time Tag coloring, so when you insert some HTML code using drag & drop or using CreaText's dialogs, you have to manually recolor the document or line.<BR>
If the Tag Coloring has some mistakes or is too slow, think of this: THIS APP IS FREEWARE AND I'M JUST ONE PERSON DOING THIS ALL :)
